    Its already forbidden on site but bosses now want to stop people gathering outside for a cigarette.

    A man who threw his ex-partner out of a second floor window and attacked police officers with a knife has been jailed for 24 years.

    Marlon Bills, 44, from Himley Road in Dudley, attacked the woman in December last year.

    He was then involved in a "violent struggle" with officers who attended the scene, West Midlands Police said.

    Bills was found guilty of causing gbh with intent, two counts of attempted wounding with attempt to resist lawful arrest and breaching a restraining order.

    Speaking after serving soldier Staff Sergeant Andrew Barnard was spared jail after helping sell cocaine, war veteran former army Major Andrew Sayers said: "Our entire culture would have us believe the book should have been thrown at this man.

    "However as the judge made clear this was an exceptional case. I think he will only be staying in the army to get psychiatric treatment."  

    The court heard Barnard helped a co-defendant sell cocaine to friends six times between September and December 2014.

    An inquest has opened into the death of a toddler who fell from a block of flats in Birmingham last month.

    The 18-month-old girl who fell from Ryland House, Newtown, was officially named at Leyan Habub Abdullah.

    The inquest was adjourned ahead of a full one at a later date.
