A man driving a mobility scooter has died after crashing with a car, West Midlands Police has said.
Officers were called to Oldbury Road, Smethwick, at around 09.10 yesterday to reports a man had been seriously injured.
The 68-year-old, from Smethwick, was taken to hospital but died this morning.
Sgt Alan Wood said: “The investigation is in its early stages and enquiries are continuing."

Two men have tried to change a large number of fake £20 notes in a number of shops, external, police say.
Staffordshire Police say they've had reports of the duo going into stores in the Cannock area to try and swap them.
Officers say they were last seen going into a shop on North Street at midday today and then left, heading towards the A5.
A woman whose ex-partner murdered their baby son says today's sentence of life imprisonment "is not long enough" and could not bring back her "gorgeous" boy.
Daniel Sanzone, 23, was told he would serve a minimum of 15 years for shaking Joshua Millinson so violently at his Wolverhampton home he went deaf and blind.
Speaking after today's sentencing, Joshua's mother, Zoe Howell, said of her son: "He was gorgeous, he was amazing and he was perfect. I couldn’t have wished for anything more."
Ms Howell was cleared at Birmingham Crown Court of child cruelty and causing or allowing Joshua's death. She said: "I've lost my son and I've had to go through all this. People have been slating me for something I didn't do."

A father who shook his 13-day-old son so violently he couldn't see or hear was unable to accept the infant's mother was "no longer able to focus all her attention" on him, a judge has said.
Jailing Daniel Sanzone, 23, for life for murder, Judge Mr Justice Jay said injuries inflicted on Joshua Millinson must have left the newborn in "considerable distress".
He described Sanzone, 23, of Wolverhampton, as "immature" and ordered him to serve a minimum of 15 years in jail.
