    BBC WM

With the future of a Birmingham secondary school still in doubt, one local MP says the way parents and pupils have been treated is "an utter disgrace".

Baverstock Academy in Druids Heath could close at the end of the academic year because it still hasn't found a new financial sponsor.

We've been told 10 teachers could leave at Christmas.

The school says it's a worrying and unhelpful time for staff and most importantly the pupils.

    Steve McCabe, Labour MP

A spokesperson for the Department for Education said: "The Leadership Education and Partnership Trust has asked the department to consider the closure of Baverstock Academy, which has been in special measures since 2014 and is undersubscribed."
