    All prisoners not in wings N and P, where the disturbance is taking place, are now back in their cells and locked down. 

    Prison staff now awaiting reinforcements before they go back in to retake the two wings.

    Reports say that a prisoner has been "badly injured" at HMP Birmingham in Winson Green as the ongoing disturbance continues. 

    Prison affairs academic and blogger, Alex Cavendish, told the Press Association an "inside informant" has told him the trouble started with lights being broken and inmates controlling fire hoses. 

    He said: "I am hearing there is a very badly injured casualty."

    Judge Richard Bond said he needs to "ponder with care" the sentence he'll pass on 101-year-old Ralph Clarke, who has been found guilty of 21 cases of sexual abuse, committed in the 1970s and 80s

    The judge told the court: "The reality is that he's so old it's unlikely he'll be released back into community." 

    He said the public would be "horrified" if Clarke wasn't sent to prison.

    The 101-year-old man found guilty of historical sex offences showed "no emotion" as the verdicts were returned. 

    Some of the victims, now adults, were in court and wiped away tears as the verdicts were returned. 

    A jury found him guilty of 21 counts of abusing the girls in the 1970s and 80s.

    It has now been confirmed that two wings have been sealed off at HMP Birmingham in Winson Green, as a result of disorder this morning.

    The wings that have been sealed off, N and P, are in the older part of the Category B jail. 

    Police and the fire service are on site as the prison awaits the arrival of specialist "tornado" teams who will be brought in to regain control of the wings. 

    Water to N and P wings has been cut-off and prisoners in other parts of the jail are being returned to cells, the BBC understands. 

    It's thought keys were taken by a prisoner as a result of an assault on a member of staff.

    It is understood that prison staff have withdrawn from two wings at HMP Birmingham (formerly known as Winson Green) after a disturbance where a guard was "rushed" by inmates. 

    The Category B prison, which is run by the private company G4S, holds 1450 inmates. 

    It is understood that extra officers are on their way to reinforce prison staff, with the possibility that a specialist "Tornado" team will have to be sent in.

    Friends and family of inmates there have told BBC WM that some prisoners are in lock down because of a disturbance in N wing, which is believed to be ongoing. 

    G4S, which runs the prison, has confirmed that a "low-level incident" has been taking place there this morning. 

    West Midlands Police have told us they haven't been brought in to deal with any trouble.

    A drug dealer, who was caught hiding in a wardrobe with a revolver, has been jailed for 18 years.

    Jerome Nash, of Midlands Road, Walsall, was arrested in May by firearms officers during a dawn raid.

    Crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis worth £500,000 was found at his home. 

    Nash pleaded guilty to possession of Class A and B drugs with intent to supply, two counts of possession of a firearm and another of having ammunition.   

    The 23-year-old was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court to 18 years in prison.

    A West Midlands officer was trapped last night after a vehicle crashed into a police car in Birmingham. 

    It happened on the A34 near the Bartons Arms pub in Newtown. 

    Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene, and the officer was eventually released from his vehicle, before being taken away on a stretcher. His condition is not thought to be serious.
