    A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a car.

    West Midlands Ambulance Service says, external the man, who suffered multiple serious injuries, was cared for by a nurse at a nearby care home until paramedics arrived.

    Two bikers have been injured after a main road in Cannock saw two crashes "within moments" of each other. 

    West Midlands Ambulance Service says the crashes happened yesterday afternoon on the A5, in each case involving a car and a motorbike.

    Both motorcyclists were injured, one possibly seriously, medics said.

    A fire engine has been damaged after stones were thrown at crews dealing with a 999 call last night.

    The fire service earlier tweeted a photo of a smashed window and damage to the front windscreen.

    A spokesman for West Midlands Fire Service says a crew from Oldbury were attending to call out in Rowley Regis following a number of 999 calls alerting them to fires on land on Cakemore Road.

    No firefighters were injured. The fire service is appealing to anyone with information to contact the police.

    A brother and sister charged with terror offences have appeared in court.

    Ummariyat Mirza, 21, is accused of buying a blade and plotting to carry out a knife attack, as well possessing bomb-making guidelines.

    His sister Zainub, 23, is charged with sending Islamic State propaganda videos to others, including a picture of a man holding two severed heads.

    The siblings were remanded in custody and are due to appear at the Old Bailey later this month.

    The medical director of NHS England Sir Bruce Keogh is to stand down in November is take on a new role in Birmingham.

    He will take up the chair of Birmingham Women and Children's Hospital Trust ,, external after being director of NHS England for the past 10 years.

    Sources have told the BBC that Sir Bruce, who is 63, wants to move to a post closer to his home in Birmingham.

    A Warwickshire mother has been talking about how widowed parents are being hit  by cuts to bereavement benefits, introduced today.

    Beth was left to bring up two boys when her husband, Duncan, died of an undiagnosed heart condition while playing football four years ago.

    Her son Ben, who's eight, wrote to Kenilworth and Southam MP Jeremy Wright to try and get the changes stopped.

    Flytippers have struck on a country lane in Kings Norton blocking the road. 

    Furniture, cardboard books and even a mannequin have been dumped on Icknield Street.
