The West Midlands is one of the areas most likely to see disruptive snow accumulating from later on Saturday until the middle of Sunday.
Some parts could see 5 to 10 cm, possibly 15 cm of snow, it said.

Ring and Ride operators, unable to carry out usual transport duties, have instead been offering free trips to NHS staff.
West Midlands Ring and Ride shuttle buses have been used to make 10,313 journeys to and from New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and another 9,472 to Walsall Manor Hospital.
Another 7,641 staff used the service to and from Russell’s Hall Hospital in Dudley and and 7,005 trips have been made to the Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield.
A maximum of two staff are carried on each bus trip to allow social distancing.
The service was formerly used to transport older people but demand fell due to the pandemic so bosses used the buses to take NHS staff to and from work.

Hampers for Heroes, external was set up during the first England lockdown of 2020 by Victoria Hanson, 44, a management consultant from Solihull.
A further £7,000 has been raised in the scheme's latest appeal since January to support ICU staff.

"We can all see on TV the strain on ICU staff, and having to deal with death at that kind of level every day is just horrendous, frankly," Mrs Hanson said.
"We want to keep supporting NHS and key workers with the mental health toll, which we all know is going to be significant."

He told BBC Breakfast: "We haven't got a go-live date yet. I would like it to be as soon as possible but [Birmingham] airport's been very thorough in its preparations."
Asked if there are hotels ready and waiting, he said: "There are plenty of hotels on the Birmingham Airport campus that could be put to this use very swiftly."
Universities minister Michelle Donelan said Health Secretary Matt Hancock would be updating Parliament "within the week" on plans around hotel quarantine.
