Four "significant" trees could be felled because neighbours say they cause litter and restrict sunlight. , external
Walsall Town Council's been asked to cut down the sycamores at the back of Drayman Close.
The applicant says the trees are a "nuisance" as they litter gardens with twigs, flowers and leaves, restrict light to the gardens and houses and make it difficult to grow plants.
But other residents are objecting, calling their removal "unacceptable" and saying they are in good health and not dangerous.
Town planners will consider the options of either approving or refusing the measures at their next meeting.
Vicki Archer's co-presenter Adam Green has returned to the air on BBC Radio Shropshire to pay tribute to his "hugely talented" friend the day after her death was announced.
Adam and Vicki had presented the drivetime show together since 2010 and Adam said they had enjoyed an "incredibly easy" chemistry on air right from the first day.
Adam said the "desperately sad news" of the 41-year-old's death had "left a cloud over our radio family", but added the many memories had allowed "some sunshine to break through".
In an emotional tribute, he said Vicki had a "wicked sense of humour".
"We laughed an awful lot and not all of it on the radio either. If we'd broadcast the things we talked about away from the mic, we wouldn't have lasted eight days, let alone eight years."
Quote MessageI count myself lucky to have worked with her for all this time. She was an incredibly talented person - she was creative, quick-thinking, tenacious, funny, smart. Her three children are just like their mother was, clever and bright."
Adam Green
Dozens of well-wishers contacted the radio station during the hour-long show on Wednesday afternoon to share their memories of Vicki.

One of the world's leading experts on brain injuries believes heading a football should be restricted in the professional game and banned for those under the age of 18.
