    A man's been arrested on suspicion of murder, external in connection with the death of Specials singer Neville Staple's grandson.

    Fidel Glasgow died in hospital after being stabbed outside Club M in Croft Road, Coventry, on 1 September.

    Today, police say they arrested a 23-year-old from Coventry and he's being questioned by detectives.

    Another man, Atikou Diallo, 23, of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with the incident.

    He is accused of wounding a 23-year-old man, violent disorder, grievous bodily harm and possession of cocaine, and is set to appear at Birmingham Crown Court next month.

    Final recommendations for new parliamentary boundaries that could see the number of MPs cut from 650 to 600 have been published.

    The Boundary Commission proposals, which still need to secure the backing of MPs and peers, have been laid in Parliament.

    In the West Midlands, the number of constituencies in the region would be cut by six from 59 to 53.

    • Birmingham would lose an MP and some Birmingham residents would be represented by existing Black Country seats
    • Dudley North and Dudley South would be scrapped and replaced with a new Dudley seat
    • North Herefordshire would share an MP with Ludlow
    • A Coventry South and Kenilworth constituency would be created
    • The Worcester constituency would encorporate Norton and Whittington
    • Malvern, Ledbury and Bromyard would all share the same MP
    • Bridgnorth would join the Wrekin seat, with some knock-on changes to the Telford constituency
    • In Staffordshire, Stone would be partly incorporated into a new Stoke-on-Trent South and Stone seat

    The commission said it was "confident" in its new map, which covers constituencies across the UK.

    The Princess Royal visited charity Headway Worcestershire to hear about its work and see the new facility.

    The organisation, based in Worcester, supports brain injury survivors and their families with rehabilitation as well as giving them a chance to socialise with others in similar situations.

    A ritual dance, dating back to the 13th Century, is in full swing today in the Staffordshire village of Abbots Bromley.

    The horn dance takes place across several miles of roads , externaland those behind it say it was originally intended to ensure a good hunting season.

    They say the dancers are made of six deer-men, a fool, hobby horse, bowman and Maid Marian and perform their dance to music at locations around the village and surrounding area.

    The musicians are made up of two accordion players and a boy with a triangle.

    Senior councillors in Birmingham have approved a plan for a clean air zone that charges high polluting vehicles.

    Details are still being ironed-out about exactly how much the charge will be - but Birmingham City Council is asking for £36m from government to help businesses and people on low incomes who’ll be affected.

    Critics say the majority of residents in the city who took part in a recent consultation are against the idea - and that the council should think again.

    But today’s vote by the cabinet group means the zone is highly likely to go ahead - coming in for motorists in January 2020.

    The original proposals included a levy of up to £12 a day for some cars and £100 a day for some heavy goods vehicles travelling within the city's inner ring road.

    A rugby club's trying to buy land off its local council so it can expand to cope with growing demand.

    Bridgnorth Town Council says the approach from Bridgnorth Rugby Club is for the area to the south of Bandon Lane, near the existing club., external

    It says the team wants to build a new clubhouse and create more parking but can only get funding for it if it owns the land.

    The council says it'll discuss the proposed sale on 18 September.

    A motorcyclist has died after his bike hit a tree in Quinton last night, police said.

    Emergency services were called to Wolverhampton Road at about 23:45.

    The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but died earlier this morning.

    Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a white van which was travelling in the area at the time.

    And, from being 12th man that day, he has been part of the XI ever since for his local club Knypersley, playing almost every Sunday in the Stone and District League in Staffordshire.

    A house in Moseley has been cordoned-off "as a precaution" after items were discovered at the property, police said.

    Officers attended the address to make an arrest attempt at about 07:00 today, said West Midlands Police.

    Various items were found and it has been sealed off until the Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and fire service are able to assess the site.

    The force said it doesn't believe there is any wider threat to nearby residents.

    A man, who attempted to make fraudulent insurance claims for car crashes he deliberately caused, has been jailed after admitting fraud.

    Between April 2016 and May 2017, Asif Javed, 25, of Kenelm Road Birmingham caused eight separate collisions with potential losses of £22,732.

    He was sentenced on Friday 7 September to 22 months in prison, and a three-year disqualification from driving.

    Javed pleased guilty to the charge of conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation at an early Birmingham Crown Court hearing.

    A family has been inundated with responses after they appealed for help to walk their baby alpacas.

    They said they had no idea that so many people would jump at the chance.
