I thought it was comfortable. We needed to get that second goal a little earlier and then it might have been one of those great nights. But, overall, with all the nonsense that's been written, I'm pleased. We've won a game, we are in the top six and it looks a bit more rosy for everybody."

    Louise Hancock

A GP who specialises in treating women who are going through the menopause is calling for more understanding in the workplace.

Dr Louise Newson, who works in Solihull, has been working with the University of Leicester and West Midlands Police on looking at its impact on absenteeism from work

Whiteboard with 'just the menopause' written on it

They found 30% of absenteeism among women was caused by symptoms of the menopause, with 25% of those women considering giving up their careers.

The menopause is when a woman stops having periods and can no longer get pregnant naturally as oestrogen levels decline.

Symptoms can include hot flushes, poor concentration, headaches, panic attacks, heavy or light periods, anxiety, loss of confidence and difficulty sleeping.

    Quote Message

You would never imagine 10 years ago going into the workplace and telling someone you were depressed because there would be stigma. Thankfully that doesn't happen but, if you go into your workplace and say you're menopausal, it's just misunderstood and people aren't taken seriously."
