    Tributes left in memory of University of Worcester student Thomas Jones will be removed later today.

    The 18-year-old went missing last month after a night out during freshers' week. His body was later recovered from the River Severn.

    Tributes, including bunches of flowers, have been placed on and around Sabrina Bridge, Worcester, where Mr Jones was last seen alive.

    His family has agreed to their removal. A permanent memorial will be created at the site next year.

    It happened yesterday evening on West Way, Stafford, and police say the 79-year-old suffered head and chest injuries.

    The force says it's trying to track down the driver of a vehicle who stopped after the collision and then headed off towards Wolverhampton Road in the town.

    New information's expected to be released today by police as they investigate the murder of one man and the kidnap and disappearance of a second.

    John Robbins (pictured), 33, went missing from the Tile Hill area of Coventry and has not been seen since 21 March.

    Detectives believe it could be related to the murder of Daniel Shaw, 28, who was found with gunshot wounds on 25 March in the same area of the city.

    West Midlands Police says officers still want anyone with information on either case to come forward.

    The son of a woman who died while trapped in a holiday home airing cupboard is suing the resort company.

    Elizabeth Isherwood, known as Mary, from Wolverhampton, died while staying at Plas Talgarth Country Clubnear Pennal, Gwynedd, in September 2017.

    Her son Craig is seeking compensation from the holiday resort owners for negligence, saying "this should never have happened".

    Macdonald Resorts said it could not comment at this stage.

    It is believed the 60-year-old became trapped in the airing cupboard on the night she arrived or the morning after, when she was going to the toilet. Her body was found a week later.

    A family says they've managed to raise the £500,000 needed for a four-year-old boy to get potentially life-saving treatment in the USA.

    Zac Oliver, from Broseley, Shropshire, has been diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia, called near haploid.

    His family were told he isn't eligible for treatment on the NHS in the UK so they started raising money to pay for pioneering treatment in the USA.

    This morning, they've told BBC Shropshire that a mystery donor's given them £100,000 to take them to their target.

    The fire service said crews were called to the site in Shawbury, near Shrewsbury, at around 22:30.

    This morning, they said they'd spent the night monitoring the blaze , externaland stopping nearby hedgerows catching fire.

    Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust wants to deliver the scheme on the 33-acre site off Cole Hall Lane.

    A sewage works operated at the site until the 1970s when it was decommissioned.

    Birmingham City Council has removed the site from the Green Belt in recent years so it can help meet the city’s "ever growing population".
