The authority's plan, under consultation, still includes employing wardens and training provision, but funding would be at the discretion of parents or schools.

Liam Boyce (thigh), Scott Fraser (groin) and David Templeton (shoulder) are all doubts for the Brewers after picking up injuries at the weekend.

Kyle McFadzean (pictured), who missed the defeat by Fleetwood on Saturday, is also a doubt with a hip injury.

Burton had never previously gone past the third round in the League Cup in their nine years in the competition since becoming a Football League club.

    Quote Message

I still can't quite believe Burton Albion are in the last eight of a major cup competition. We haven't had too much opportunity to create history. The draw could have been kinder. It is a tough one but it is winnable. I can't help thinking how good it would be if we could get one step further."

  11. 'I felt like a footnote to cancer'published at 07:36 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2018

    BBC Radio 5 live

Peter Bagnall found a lump in his breast tissue in 2013 and later that year was diagnosed with breast cancer - a condition that overwhelmingly affects women.

"I was sucked into a world of which I wasn't a part," the 56-year-old from Birmingham said. "I didn't know men could get it."

After his operation, Peter was not offered reconstructive surgery. He felt so "lopsided" that he tried to cut off remaining tissue with a kitchen knife.

"The rational side of me knew it was not a big deal, but the emotional side drove me to try and cut it off."
