The Specials should be granted the freedom of Coventry, a city councillor has said.
The band, originally formed in the city and known for hits such as Ghost Town and Too Much Too Young, have just completed a run of sell-out nights set among the cathedral ruins.
Ed Ruane said the band is as important and relevant now as they were 40 years ago.
"I know how much The Specials mean to Coventry and I think it's time that the city should pay them back in some form of public recognition of what they've done for Coventry over the years," he said.
Defeated heavyweight boxer Nathan Gorman will "come back stronger" according to promoter Frank Warren.
The Nantwich boxer was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of Saturday night's heavyweight title fight.
"I told him we're with him," said Warren, "and we'll bring him back in the autumn."

The parents of a boy in need of a stem cell donor say they're determined to get as many people as possible to sign up to be tested.
About 17,000 people have registered after a campaign for Finley Hill, from Belbroughton, Worcestershire who has a rare and life-threatening immune system disorder and needs a transplant.
Finley's mum Jo said she has been spending "every waking minute" to organise donor drives.
More than 11,000 signed up with charity DKMS after Finley appeared on ITV's This Morning.
The roof of a house was damaged in a fire in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday.
Crews were called to Rectory Road, Shelton, shortly after 13:00.
The fire spread to a neighbouring property but was stopped from reaching a third, said Staffordshire Fire service.
Properties in the street were evacuated, it said, but no-one was hurt.
