    Warwickshire's Chris Woakes was voted among the team of the tournament by readers of BBC Sport.

    The England seamer was described by his home club as "approachable, humble and the sort of player who’d probably mutter an embarrassed apology as he sent your middle stumping cartwheeling towards the boundary".

    Although Birmingham-born Moeen Ali didn't play in Sunday's final, he was a "key part of the team which climbed to number one in the world," said Worcestershire's chief executive Matt Rawnsley.

    “He won his 100th cap during the tournament and congratulations to him for his contribution".

    "I know how much The Specials mean to Coventry and I think it's time that the city should pay them back in some form of public recognition of what they've done for Coventry over the years," he said.

    The Nantwich boxer was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the fifth round of Saturday night's heavyweight title fight.

    "I told him we're with him," said Warren, "and we'll bring him back in the autumn."

    "I hold my hands up, he was the better man," said Gorman. "I will have to come again and I'm sure I will."

    About 17,000 people have registered after a campaign for Finley Hill, from Belbroughton, Worcestershire who has a rare and life-threatening immune system disorder and needs a transplant.

    Finley's mum Jo said she has been spending "every waking minute" to organise donor drives.

    More than 11,000 signed up with charity DKMS after Finley appeared on ITV's This Morning.

    The fire spread to a neighbouring property but was stopped from reaching a third, said Staffordshire Fire service.

    Properties in the street were evacuated, it said, but no-one was hurt.

    Long queues are possible on the M40 between Warwickshire and Oxfordshire and the M5 through Worcestershire as travel peaks.

    The RAC has warned of delays of up to 90 minutes on some roads over the weekend.

    Traffic data company Inrix predicted the busiest period would be between 11:00 and 18:45 on Friday.

    Congestion will continue until Monday, with the M6 between Birmingham and Wolverhampton predicted to see speeds down to 17mph in the afternoon.
