    Forwards Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez are among those expected to return to the starting line-up.

    In their opening game, Wolves drew at Leicester whereas United thumped Chelsea 4-0.

    A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at a house in Birmingham.

    Inderjit Ram, 52, was arrested on Saturday after 63-year-old Belinda Rose was found injured at a house in Pendragon Road, Perry Barr.

    Ms Rose, from Walsall, was found with fatal stab wounds at about 13:50 on Saturday.

    Mr Ram, of Wensleydale Road in Great Barr, is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court later today.

    Boris Johnson is being urged by the leaders of dozens of councils to give them a fairer funding deal.

    They include those in charge of five local authorities in the West Midlands: Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

    The demand's made in an open letter to the prime minister in the Telegraph and claims counties get £240 per resident compared with £449 in urban areas.

    The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government says councils have been given £46.4bn this year and it'll work to get councils their financial settlement for next year as soon as possible.

    Archaeologists are set to start today what's thought to be the first dig at an Iron Age hill-fort in decades.

    Teams from Oxford and Southampton Universities will be taking charge of the work at Nesscliffe hill-fort, near Shrewsbury, which will last until 30 August.

    Shropshire Council's also involved, external and says the aim is to bring more of the hill-fort's history to light for locals and visitors.

    Staffordshire Police say the 29-year-old man, of no fixed address, is still in custody.

    A fire at a derelict school in Stoke on Trent's believed to have been arson.

    Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said firefighters had difficultly getting to the building and several roads were shut while they battled it.

    A young footballer is recovering after being impaled through the neck by a training pole.

    Emergency services were called to a football pitch off Chell Heath Road, in Fegg Hayes, Stoke-on-Trent yesterday afternoon.

    The object was cut before the boy was flown by air ambulance to hospital, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said.

    A woman found with serious injuries by a road has died.

    The woman was found on Belt Road, Cannock, during the early hours of Saturday.

    She was local, in her 50s, and died in hospital early on Sunday, Staffordshire Pplice said.

    detectives are still investigating the circumstances around her death which are not yet understood.Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything or has dash-cam or CCTV footage in the area to come forward.
