    Roads are being affected around Upton upon Severn, in Worcestershire.

    Dunns Lane is also impassible.

    River levels are expected to continue to rise in the town and put more homes and roads at risk of flooding.

    The river isn't expected to peak until Saturday afternoon, said the Environment Agency.

    Road closures have been put in place along the river front in Stratford-upon-Avon to allow flood defences to be put up.

    It's the first time the barriers have been used in a flood situation - previously only set up during an exercise in December 2017.

    Waterside in the town will remain closed throughout the day, said the Environment Agency.

    A child and an adult have been rescued from a vehicle stuck in floodwater in Croxton, Staffordshire.

    Two fire crews were sent to the scene, said the fire service.

    The A513 from Tamworth to Alrewas is flooded, it said, including Croxhall Road just past Catton Park.

    There are 17 roads closed in Herefordshire this morning and one bus service won't be running.

    Some roads are being reopened, but motorists are being urged to stay out of floodwater.

    Worcestershire County Council tweeted this photo of a broken manhole cover on the A38 at Bromsgrove - it said it was hidden beneath the water and some people who ignored road closed signs damaged their vehicles on it.

    The main Frankwell car park has reopened in Shrewsbury, but the River Severn is still rising in the town and isn't expected to peak until tomorrow.

    The flood barriers in the town are at their second level at the moment.

    The Environment Agency said it was watching the levels downriver in Ironbridge, but the flood barriers haven't yet been erected there.

    River levels in Shrewsbury are expected to peak about half a metre lower than they did last month.

    Trains are still being cancelled or delayed on the route between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth, external, but National Rail Enquiries says they should start to return to normal after 11:00.

    Heavy rain has flooded the tracks at Evesham, closing the line between Moreton-in-Marsh and Worcester Shrub Hill.

    Disruption is expected until the end of the day, said National Rail.

    Flood barriers are to be deployed in Stratford-upon-Avon, said the Environment Agency.

    Water levels are expected to rise further today and will remain high for a number of days, the Environment Agency has warned.

    There are flood warnings and flood alerts for most rivers in the region, with a peak expected this afternoon in most cases.

    The river levels aren't expected to be quite as high as the ones we saw at the end of last month, but as you can see from this photo in Hereford this morning, they're pretty high.

    The Met Office doesn't have any weather warnings for the coming days.

    More than 40 schools are now closed in Worcestershire , externaldue to flooding in the area.

    Nine schools have closed in Shropshire , externalwith three in Warwickshire , externaland one in Herefordshire, external.

    Floodwaters are surrounding Anne Hathaway's cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon as the visitor attraction was forced to shut on Thursday.

    Local bushcraft company Wild Parkin said it was the worst flooding in the area for about 20 years.

    A flood alert remains in place for the nearby river Salwarpe, with flooding of roads and farmland expected today.

    Other areas that may be affected include Stoke Heath, Elmley Lovett and Ombersley, said the Environment Agency.

    Train services are running normally this morning after severe disruption on Thursday.

    A "vast amount" of services were cancelled or delayed because of floods and landslides yesterday.

    A tunnel between Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham flooded as well as rail lines between Birmingham and Leamington Spa, including Wood End station (pictured).

    Floodwater is still affecting dozens of roads across the West Midlands.

    Firefighters helped 35 vehicles stuck in floodwater across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

    Six properties across the two counties were also affected by flooding.

    In total, Hereford and Worcester Fire Service says crews had to rescue 87 people and one dog.

    More than 30 schools in Worcestershire have already said they will be closed today, with dozens of roads affected.

    Dozens of flood warnings are in place across the West Midlands following heavy rainfall on Thursday.

    The River Avon is expected to peak at Evesham this morning at its highest levels since 2012 with the peak not expected at Stratford-upon-Avon until later.
