    An 18-year-old man has been stabbed in a phone robbery in Solihull this afternoon.

    West Midlands Police said he was attacked at a park near the junction of Chester Road and Windward Way, in Smith’s Wood, just before 14:30 and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

    A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the attack.

    Two men have been arrested after a police chase on the M6 through Staffordshire and Cheshire.

    The vehicle, which had been stolen from the West Midlands last November, was spotted by Central Motorway Police at junction 13 and was followed after it failed to pull over.

    It was stopped by officers after in entered junction 16 and the two men were arrested for theft and dangerous driving.

    A decision has been made to move forward with plans to close Cheadle hospital.

    The Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Groups decided this afternoon that instead there should be four 'care hubs' providing services in Longton, Leek, Bradwell and at the Haywood Hospital.

    The CCG also decided that half of the community beds in North Staffordshire will be permanently closed.

    Shrewsbury Town midfielder Shaun Whalley has said with the return of Callum Lang from a foot injury, the club have "three, four strikers who can do damage in our league".

    Whalley described Lang, who is on loan from Wigan Athletic, as a "brilliant player" and a "great character".

    A plan has been drawn up, suggesting how Worcester could become carbon-neutral within the next 10 years.

    Last July, Worcester City Council declared a "climate emergency" and local people and businesses are now being asked for their views on how to tackle the problem.

    The draft strategy, which will go before councillors later this month, proposes encouraging the use of electric vehicles, ensuring that new road projects prioritise improvements for walkers and cyclists, and planting more trees.

    A 15-year-old boy was threatened with an imitation gun by a man pretending to be a police officer, Warwickshire Police have said.

    Armed officers were sent to the scene on Camborne Drive, Nuneaton, shortly before 16:00 on Monday.

    An 18-year-old man from the town was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He remains in police custody, the force said., external

    “No-one suffered any injuries and there was no threat to the wider public," the force added.

    The Black Sabbath singer told US TV show Good Morning America , externalhe has a "mild form" and found out about it after suffering a fall last February.

    Wife Sharon said: "It's not a death sentence but it affects certain nerves in your body. You have a good day, a good day, then a really bad day."

    The Birmingham-born performer added that it was hard to tell whether the numbness symptoms he had were from the Parkinson's or the fall and added: "It's been terribly challenging for us all."

    A Game of Thrones script belonging to a Stafford woman, which was signed by the cast, has failed to sell at auction.

    Angela Raybould bought it for £1,170 five years ago and was hoping to get around £7,000 for it.

    Angela said she bought the script at a charity auction to help while lions in South Africa, organised by Jerome Flynn, one of the actors in the series.

    She told auctioneers Hansons: "Because of its value it has to stay locked away in a safe. It’s time for someone else to enjoy it."

    New plans have been submitted for a 1,600-space car park at University Hospital in Coventry.

    The major new staff-only car park is being proposed at the rear of the hospital to help ease pressure on the current parking facility, freeing up spaces for visitors.

    Initial proposals were submitted in 2017, but the plan was delayed after concern from residents and the council about the planned temporary exit on to Farber Road.

    Residents’ group Walgrave Community Forum branded the plan “unacceptable” as they feared it was driving hundreds of vehicles a day outside their homes through a small estate.

    The hospital trust has agreed to take action against those who use the Farber Road as "cut through", the plans state.
