    More support is being offered for those who have suffered assaults and sexual abuse.

    A new service, Survive, has launched for victims and their families.

    The scheme, which will include a local helpline and counselling, is run by Staffordshire Women’s Aid.

    Chief executive Dickie James said: "This service will work to let victims and their loved ones across Staffordshire know that they are not alone, and that they can get help quickly."

    The county's commissioner for police, fire and rescue and the county council have , externalput £320,000 per year into the two-year pilot.

    Cash has been stolen by two masked men armed with a knife from a convenience store in Worcestershire.

    The pair went into the branch of McColls on the High Street, Belbroughton, near Bromsgrove, on Monday morning, West Mercia Police said., external

    They demanded money and, after cash was handed over, left. Officers believe they got in a car outside and sped off.

    A man is in hospital in a critical condition after a fight in Birmingham.

    It broke out on Upper Dean Street shortly after 22:30 BST.

    The victim was punched and suffered a serious head injury.

    Police are searching for two people who left the scene through the outdoor markets and up the steps past St Martins Church.

    All three areas are behind a cordon on Tuesday morning.

    The break-in happened at the Acorn's Childrens Hospice branch on High Street, Rowley Regis, at about 02:10 on Monday, West Midlands Police said.

    The charity's chief executive tweeted , externalthe burglars "did significant damage" smashing their way in through a door to take "a basically empty till".

    Demand for spare parts for Austin Healey sports cars has shot up during lockdown, according to a firm in Warwickshire.

    AH Spares, in Southam, has been running for nearly 50 years.

    Since March, the firm said sales had increased by nearly 40% and parts have been shipped across the world, particularly to the USA.

    "We believe it is because the customer is locked down in their garages so they are getting on with their restoration projects that they probably couldn't get on with before," Director Rebecca Kemsley said.

    People who have left a love lock on a footbridge in Worcester have been given a week to reclaim them before the crossing gets a makeover.

    Sabrina Bridge is going to be refurbished from 12 October.

    The county council said, external anyone who has left a padlock attached to the crossing as a symbol of love can get them from the bridge before then.

    Any remaining ones will be stored and can be collected from County Hall until 31 October and those left over will be recycled.

    In 2014, the BBC looked into the trend for love locks with the unbreakable bond of the padlock supposedly symbolising the everlasting bond between two people in love.
