    Rail services are being reduced between Leamington Spa and Nuneaton from Friday.

    The hourly service will now run every two hours said West Midlands Railway.

    The temporary change has been made following an increase in the number of train crew unable to work due to the impact of Covid-19, the company said.

    Buses will replace the services unable to run.

    A lane remains closed on the M6 Toll this morning due to a police incident.

    Highways England had fully closed the motorway in both directions, external just before 08:00 between junctions T3, for Sutton Coldfield, and T4, for Lichfield.

    The northbound side has since reopened but one lane southbound remains shut. , external

    It has not revealed the nature of the police incident.

    An extra £1.4m is to be invested in Coventry’s cycling plans, which will help fund new schemes in Foleshill and the University of Warwick.

    Transport for West Midlands is distributing the cash as part of a wider £13m regional allocation from the second round of the government’s Active Travel Fund.

    Money will be used in Coventry for the second phase of the Binley cycleway, running along the B4082 Clifford Bridge Road to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

    A new segregated cycling route along the B4113 in Foleshill to the city centre is also set to benefit, alongside plans to connect the University of Warwick campus via Lynchgate Road.

    There have been delays to the start of a rapid coronavirus testing scheme in Wolverhampton.

    The government-run test centre at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara on Sedgeley Street will now not open to members of the public today.

    People with no Covid symptoms were being invited to take a lateral flow test where results could have been available in as little as 15 minutes.

    But following delays in setting up the site organisers are now asking people not to come today and say testing will start on Friday.
