The packs, which include bandages, tourniquets and gloves, have been paid for by the office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), David Jamieson.

    Quote Message

The bleed kits are an essential tool for a police officer or even just for a member of the public who comes across someone who's suffered a stab wound or a puncture injury. (They) could save their life in those few minutes before the medics arrive."

The Premier League's bottom club had defender Phil Jagielka sent off in the 57th minute, but Smith admitted his team "lacked that little bit of quality for probably the last 35 minutes".

He said David McGoldrick's first-half effort was "a poor goal from our point of view".

    Quote Message

I thought we became a little bit too frantic trying to find the goal. Our build-up until the 18-yard box was pretty good and we got it wide into good areas, but threw in a few too many poor crosses for me really. But you also need good movement in the box as well to get on the end of poor crosses at times. We've had big chances in the first half which we should have taken."

Solihull Council said the original plans to build 7,400 parking spaces would have seen approximately 22 acres of green belt land tarmacked over for surface level parking, but a multi storey will mean less land will be needed.

"We were never comfortable with the prospect of such a connected location in the borough being simply used for a surface car park," Ian Courts, leader of Solihull Council, said.

“Constructing a multi-storey car park as opposed to tarmacking swathes of valuable land allows us to maximise the benefits that the HS2 Interchange Station brings directly to Solihull and its residents."
