    There will be some drier spells, particularly in the east towards Bath at first, but the easterly breeze will exacerbate the cool feel.

    Bath Rugby has suspended its back row player Alafoti Fa'osiliva.

    A club spokesman said it related to an appearance by Mr Fa'osiliva at Bath Magistrates Court on Thursday.

    He added Mr Fa'osiliva has been suspended "pending conclusion of the judicial process".

    "Bath Rugby will not be making any further comment until the conclusion of this process," he added.

    Hundreds attended the funeral of DJ Derek in St Pauls earlier.

    His great niece, Jennifer Griffiths, says he would not have expected such a big turn out.

  5. DJ Derek funeral: Tribute paid to 'Bristol legend'published at 13:36 British Summer Time 22 April 2016

    DJ Aidan Larkin played the decks at St Agnes church in St Pauls during the service.

    He told the BBC that DJ Derek was a true Bristol legend and he'd known him for more than a decade.

    "I met him at Glastonbury and there was this little old fellow where the DJ should be," he said.

    "I thought he was there to fix something but then he pulled out this little microphone and was on the mic with a double-barrelled Jamaican accent."

    Bristol's Judd Trump honoured his mid-session interval promise and "put £200 behind the bar" after completing a sensational 10-8 comeback win in the first round of the World Snooker Championship.

    Trump trailed China's Liang Wenbo 6-3 overnight and lost the first frame.

    But Trump won five in a row - and seven of the next eight - to progress and will now face China's Ding Junhui.

    A steam train operator is being investigated after one of its trains was moved along a platform while its doors were open.

    Passengers had started to board the West Coast Railways (WCR) service at Bath Spa station on 13 April, according to rail records leaked online.

    WCR has only recently begun using the UK's mainline railway again after a month-long ban over safety concerns.

    The firm said it took safety incidents "very seriously" and was investigating.

    The service began with My Mother's Eyes by Nellie Lutcher followed by a welcome by The Reverend Liz Perry.

    During the eulogies Derek's brother, Gerald Serpell-Morris, described the veteran DJ as "quite modest and unassuming".

    BBC reporter Pam Parkes, who is at St Agnes, said as soon as the church opened there was a steady stream of people arriving.

    "The church is almost full now and Derek's favourite music is being played over loudspeakers by close friend DJ Aidan Larkin as we wait for his family to arrive.

    Remember we told you about an exhibition featuring two cows living near to a nightclub in Bristol city centre for five days?

    It was branded an "absurd publicity stunt" by animal rights campaigners," but Nessie Reid, who's behind the project, said she welcomed the debate it has caused.  

    "I'm really glad people care and are worried," she said.

    She added that farms are not the "idyllic places" people make out, rather they are "noisy, hectic places".
