Christopher Halliwell has been found guilty of Becky Godden's murder

During the trial which saw him found guilty of Becky Godden's murder, Christopher Halliwell claimed that he admitted to Miss Godden's murder to get revenge on Detective Inspector Steve Fulcher and "ruin his career".

He also blamed the murder on two men he believed to be drug dealers he had picked up in his taxi from Swindon station who he drove to Eastleach.

But when the prosecution challenged Halliwell to name the men, saying a little police work could save him from a second murder conviction, he replied that that would never happen, because he feared reprisals for his family.

He said he would rather spend the rest of his life in jail than risk his family being harmed.
