    The Administrators of the Bloodhound Programme Ltd - the company behind Project Bloodhound - the initiative to reach 1,000 miles per hour in a land vehicle, have announced that an investor to take the project forward cannot be found.

    It means that the project will end.

    Olympic rider Jonty Evans has ridden a horse for the first time since suffering a severe brain injury in a fall six months ago.

    Jonty, who's from Cheltenham, is still undergoing physical and mental rehabilitation since the accident.

    He's had help from Hartpury College and the Injured Jockey's Fund but says he's still unsure what the future holds.

    Evans, who finished ninth at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, launched a crowd-funding campaign to buy his horse, Cooley Rorkes Drift, after its owner put it up for sale in 2017.

    Radio Bristol: Weston General Hospital could potentially lose its Accident and Emergency department altogether. For the first time health professionals have revealed their five possible options for the future of the department and two suggest its closure.

    BBC Wiltshire: Highways England has asked for evidence after being accused of damaging a 6,000-year-old site near Stonehenge, as part of preparations for a controversial tunnel. The agency says it has "adhered to guidelines with due care being exercised at all times".

    BBC Somerset: Plans for a new tidal barrier in Bridgwater have gone on display to the public today It's hoped the barrier, which will cross the River Parrett, will help protect 11,000 homes and businesses from flooding.

    BBC Gloucestershire: Police have made 12 arrests for drink and drug driving so far this month as officers reveal they're getting dozens of reports online from people concerned about others who may be breaking the law.

    The Great Western Hospital in Swindon has raised the £2.9m it needs for its radiotherapy kit.

    The Brighter Futures appeal launched back in 2015 and thousands of people have taken part in fundraising.

    A brazen shoplifter had a "shopping list" in her handbag of items her "customers" wanted for Christmas according to police.

    The list was recovered from the handbag of the known shoplifter in Swindon town centre after security guards attempted to stop her stealing from Debenhams, police said.

    The woman escaped and remains at large and officers believe the woman was stealing to order.

    One customer, listed as Colleen, wanted girls' clothes aged five to six, a men's medium grey coat and lamb chops/steaks.

    Another pair of associates, known as Tall P and Tasha, wanted Gucci perfumes while Jimmy wanted medium and large tracksuits, men's trainers in sizes nine and ten, and aftershave.

    Other items listed to be stolen included a hairdryer, an electric toothbrush and "luxury pillows".

    Police in the Bristol area are appealing for help finding a teenager missing from Haverfordwest in Wales.

    They believe the 14-year-old boy - named as Ewan - has travelled by train to either Bristol, Swansea or Cardiff with another boy (from Pembrokeshire), who is the same age.

    "Ewan hasn’t been seen since he left home at 10am yesterday (Wednesday, December 5)" said police.

    They have asked that anyone who sees them contacts their local police.
