Power off in Swindon SN8published at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2019
Power supplier SSE in Wiltshire has said that some homes in Marlborough are experiencing a power cut.
871 properties in the SN8 postcode area of Swindon were affected, but now 324 remain without power.

Our engineers were alerted to reports of loss of power in the Marlborough area at 12.50pm this afternoon. Engineers are currently re-routing the network (switching) to restore supplies to our customers. Our estimated restoration time for this fault is 7pm this evening, but customers may have their power restored a lot sooner as our engineers continue altering the network to restore supplies as quickly as possible. We are still investigating the cause of this fault, but our priority is to restore power to customers as quickly as we possibly can. "

Meghan and Harry spent the day in Bristol and toured the Bristol Old Vic theatre.
Heavy snow settled overnight but that did not stop the royal couple from greeting fans who were waiting in the cold weather for them.

Bristol Airport says due to continued adverse weather, the majority of flights have been cancelled for the remainder of today
"We anticipate operating as normal on Saturday but please contact your airline for updates on the status of your flight," a spokesman said.

Bristol Airport is still closed for flights, causing misery for some.
A decision about whether the runways can reopen will be made closer to 3pm, but with the snow still coming down, it seems unlikely.
The airport and airlines are still saying they expect to fly tomorrow.
Meanwhile, some stranded passengers are refusing to let the delays get their spirits down:
