    Police say a fire at a pub has closed the bridge between Huntingdon and Godmanchester. 

    Fire crews are at the scene but it's not clear yet the severity of the blaze.

  3. Travel: Delays of 30 minutes on journeys from Peterborough to Londonpublished at 09:31 British Summer Time 29 March 2016

    The overhead wire problems between Sandy and St Neots, which caused major disruption to yesterday's railway service, have now been resolved.

    Network Rail, external says that lines, which were closed while engineers fixed overhead cables damaged by Storm Katie, have now fully reopened. 

    However, there will be delays of up to 30 minutes while services recover to journeys between London Kings Cross and Peterborough. Some Great Northern services have also been cancelled.

  5. Storm Katie aftermath leads to rail disruptionpublished at 08:26 British Summer Time 29 March 2016

    Storm Katie continues to cause disruption for rail commuters this morning. 

    Network Rail , externalsay overhead wire problems between Sandy and St Neots are causing disruption to journeys between London Kings Cross and Peterborough. 

    Great Northern services are replaced by buses between Hitchin and Peterborough. This was expected to end at 06:00 but has been extended.
