    Junior doctors in England are on strike today and tomorrow from 08:00 to 17:00. The NHS says it is working hard to ensure as few patients as possible are affected, but what does this mean for people who need these services?

    • A&E: These services will continue to run throughout the strike but with other staff covering junior doctor roles
    • To access urgent medical help: You can still call NHS 111, external, visit your GP or see an out-of-hours doctor at an urgent care centre or walk-in centre
    • Visiting a GP: GPs may experience greater demand than normal, so it is best to contact your GP early if you need advice or an appointment, according to the NHS Choices website, external
    • Pharmacies and dentists: The strikes do not include any of these healthcare professionals. Services should run as normal

    statement issued, external by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office about the murder of Cambridge student Giulio Regeni in Eygpt says the government is "disappointed" with the limited progress made in the investigation.

    The 28-year-old disappeared on 25 January, when the above poster was produced by concerned friends. His mutilated body was found in a ditch on the outskirts of Cairo on 3 February.

    Three months after Mr Regeni’s death, we are disappointed by the limited progress made. We are aware of allegations that the Egyptian security forces were responsible for the murder of Mr Regeni. These are unproven but we urge the Egyptian authorities to consider every possible scenario as they investigate."

    A man whose operation at Addenbrooke's Hospital was cancelled today says striking junior doctors are testing his patience.

    John from Cambridge called BBC Radio Cambridgeshire to say he was was due to have a lesion on his vocal chords removed today. But the operation was cancelled because of the strike by junior doctors.

    "It's all become very political and money orientated," he said.

    A church gate and wall were badly damaged when a car crashed into them last night.

    Police think the driver of the Ford Fiesta lost control and careered off the road into All Saints Church in Elm, near Wisbech, at about 18:40.

    The car was damaged but the driver was not injured, the ambulance service said.

    This is the scene outside Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where junior doctors have joined the first all-out strike in the NHS' history.

    About 50 people are currently on the picket line, holding banners with slogans such as "tired doctors make mistakes".

    One striking doctor told me they were getting a positive response from passers-by: "There's been loads of support out here, people have been hooting their horns spontaneously."

    The UK government says it is "appalled" by the murder of a Cambridge University student in Egypt.

    The body of 28-year-old Italian Giulio Regeni, which showed signs of torture, was found dumped near Cairo on 3 February.

    The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has released a statement condemning "the brutal manner of his killing" after a petition demanding the government intervened reached 10,000 signatures, meaning it was compelled to respond officially.

    Junior doctors at Cambridgeshire hospitals have joined the first all-out doctors' strike in the NHS' history.

    It is the first time services such as A&E, maternity and intensive care have been hit in the long-running dispute over new contracts.

    Rezwan Samad, a first year junior doctor in the county, told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire he doesn't know how long the dispute over new contracts will last: "It's a question I've been asking myself, I honestly don’t know. We're hoping this will bring it to an end."

    A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after police were called to a property in Mill Close on Sunday night.
