    I've been talking to the lead researcher of a team that carried out research into the link between eating healthily and how well you're educated. 

    Dr Tom Burgoine, from the Centre for Diet and Activity Research at the University of Cambridge, external, says the better you're educated means you're more likely to spend more money and time on preparing and buying food.

    He added "the less money you have, you're more likely to use your local takeaway that sells larger portions of food at lower prices". 

    He says limiting the number of takeaways in disadvantaged areas could be one solution.

    A parish councillor in Madingley says a works-compound that's being created less than a mile away from his village as part of the A14 upgrade could mean up to 100 lorries will be driven through the area every day, 24/7.

    Edward Byam Cook says the site is not in the right area and Highways Agency should think again. He says "villagers are prepared to barricade the street" to get their view points across. 

    Highways England says it's aware of the concerns raised and is having regular dialogue about the situation.

    Papworth Hospital has thanked US solider Elizabeth Marks for asking Prince Harry to hand her gold Invictus Games medal to the hospital, as a thank you for saving her life.

    Dr Roger Hall, medical director at Papworth, said: "Elizabeth’s fantastic achievement is a good example of how modern medicine can support all of us to not only lead a normal life, following life-threatening conditions, but go on to achieve truly amazing accomplishments."

    The hospital said it was "delighted" by the gesture.

  9. Cambridge's newest railway station 'on track'published at 14:29 British Summer Time 12 May 2016

    I'm not the only one here today finding out how the work to build the new railway station in Chesterton is coming along. 

    The Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin is also having a tour of the station, due to open in a year's time.

    He says it's on track and will attract investment to the region.

    So far £13m has been spent. We'll find out in a month's time which rail company will be using it.

    The Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough has reopened after being closed for more than eight hours following a police incident.

    It was closed at 05:00. 

    Traffic is still very slow in both directions between junction 7, at Oxney Road, and junction 8. Congestion goes back to junction 4.

    The tennis legend said: "I did not complete my schooling so to receive this fellowship is thrilling and exciting. I am looking forward to being part of Lucy Cavendish College."

    Lucy Cavendish College, external was founded in 1965 and is a women-only college, taking students aged 21 and over.
