    The squadron was founded in 1925 by the Air Ministry, with the assistance of the university authorities, to develop "national aviation and aeronautical skills for those considering related professions or airforce commissions".

    We've been covering the news that Cambridge is the best place in the country to work, according to jobs site Glassdoor.

    Dr Andrew Chamberlain, Glassdoor's chief economist, said: "Cambridge has long had a reputation for one of Britain's most loved cities.

    "But now it's emerged as a prime spot for high-tech companies, which is clearly having an impact on where people decide to live and work."

    A woman has been taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with suspected neck and back injuries, after a crash that caused severe disruption on the A1(M). 

    Three cars and a lorry collided on the southbound carriageway near Sawtry during this morning's rush hour.

    The road was fully closed until around 11:30 but one lane has since re-opened.

    The Queen has arrived at Cambridge Airport.

    Accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, she will see the new facilities of the East Anglian Air Ambulance. 

    The Queen will be shown around by her grandson, the Duke of Cambridge, who is an Air Ambulance pilot based in Cambridge.

    She will be here for around 40 minutes before heading to Buckingham Palace, where she is due to meet outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron.

    Two people have been taken to hospital with minor injuries following the four-vehicle crash on the A1 earlier, the ambulance service says.

  16. A1 blocked after four-vehicle crashpublished at 10:30 British Summer Time 13 July 2016

    We've got some more details about a crash on the A1 Huntingdon-bound, close to Alconbury, which is currently blocked. 

    Cambridgeshire Police says it was called to the carriageway at about 08:30 following a collision between three cars and a lorry. 

    The force tells us drivers should remain in their vehicles despite the delays. Injuries are thought to be minor at this stage.

    Cambridge is the best place in the country to work, according to a new study.

    The university city came top of a list based on how easy it is to get a job, affordability of housing and employee satisfaction.

    Milton Keynes and Nottingham were next in a league table compiled by jobs site Glassdoor. 

    The emergence of some of Britain's industrial and northern cities has meant that London is outside the top 20 of this year's list.

    Ever had a tipple at the Falcon in Huntingdon? 

    Well, the historic pub, which reopened fewer than two years ago, has just won a top award by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).

    The 16th century watering hole on Market Square was closed in 2008, but reopened in 2014. 

    Camra has now named it as the best pub in Cambridgeshire.
