  6. Burghley House: Cambridgeshire or Lincolnshire?published at 17:35 British Summer Time 5 April 2017

    Adam Jinkerson
    BBC Local Live

It's the debate that divided two counties for quite literally centuries... what side of the Cambridgeshire-Lincolnshire border is Burghley House on?

Well, the Peterborough Civic Society thinks it has the answer, after this appeared in a copy of news and current affairs magazine Private Eye...

Let's just say the group didn't hold back the punches in its reply...

It's not the only contentious land-related debate to arise in Cambridgeshire, of course.

For example, is Newmarket Racecourse in Cambridgeshire or Suffolk?

And Royston - you might have a Hertfordshire postcode, but are you really Cambridgeshire wannabes?

Firefighters in Wisbech have been handing out high-visibility jackets to a migrant community living alongside the A47.

It's after people were involved in a number of crashes, some fatal, along the stretch of the the road.

We pictured the camp a few years back during an investigation into migrant exploitation in the area.

The fire service said the migrants were living in poor conditions on the side of the road and were commonly involved in incidents.

Therefore a number of jackets have been given out free of charge to help them be seen when walking along the busy road.

Fire crews also handed them out to members of the Rosmini Centre in the town.

Watch commander Phil Pilbeam said: "We spend a great deal of time out and about in our communities identifying and supporting the most vulnerable people and this is no different.

"After identifying the trend in the incidents we were responding to, we discussed and came up with the idea of providing high-visibility jackets.

"This will now help keep these people visible, and safer."

Also suggested on my visit to Ely were Cathedral View and Cromwell Causeway, among others.

Regarding the names, Cambridgeshire County Council said: "It could be something for the council's economy and environment committee to consider, but as yet it hasn't come up".

  15. Peterborough one of the hardest areas to dispute parking fine published at 10:10 British Summer Time 5 April 2017

    Adam Jinkerson
    BBC Local Live

Peterborough has been named as one of the country's areas where drivers are least likely to be let off a parking ticket.

Only one in six who challenged parking fines between January and October last year were successful - 410 out of 2,784.

Runnymede, Staffordshire and Sefton were the only other council areas where drivers had a lower success rate.

On average, a third of initial driver challenges to on-street parking fines made to councils in England were successful, according to Press Association figures.

Adam Payton, from Peterborough City Council, said there is "less reason" for fines to be disputed in the city due to the experience of its parking wardens.

"We've got a well-trained and professional team of enforcement staff," he told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

"They are operating in a fair, accurate and consistent manner.

"As a result, the tickets are fair."
