More than 600 inmates at Warwickshire prison should be handed free kettles for their cells, external, so they don’t have to pay for their own, according to a prison report.
CCTV pictures of two men have been issued, external after a violent assault on a rail passenger at Nuneaton Station.
Transport police say they're keen to speak to the men after a 54-year-old man was pushed and head-butted after being verbally abused on a train from Birmingham in November.

The education watchdog said it was poor in seven out of nine areas, including management and quality of teaching.

There are fears that housing projects, schemes for the elderly, and arts organisations will see grants cut as councillors meet to discuss saving £1.2m over the next financial year. , external
The authority says it has no choice because the money it receives from the government has been halved over the last five years.

Parents of pupils at Bawnmore Infant School, Bilton Infants and Bilton CofE Juniors received letters last week stating that a consultation period had begun regarding making the three schools all-through establishments, external, rather than being split between infants and juniors.

Coventry's City College has been rated "inadequate" for the second time in three years after an Ofsted inspection.
Image source, GoogleThe college received an inadequate rating in seven out of nine categories, including effectiveness of leadership and management as well as the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
An interim report after the last Ofsted inspection in 2013 said the college had made "reasonable progress".
The principal of the college for the last 18 months, Steve Logan, stepped-down in December.

A young boy was airlifted to hospital after a crash , externalinvolving two cars and a lorry in Rugby yesterday.
The ambulance service said one of the cars involved had overturned, trapping the boy inside with serious injuries.
Five other people were also treated after the accident on Coventry Road in Church Lawford just after 14:00.
The Ministry of Defence revealed that the three counts of drones flying over the prison and dropping packages into its premises , externalwere recorded in 2015.
