    CCTV pictures of two men have been issued, external after a violent assault on a rail passenger at Nuneaton Station.

    Transport police say they're keen to speak to the men after a 54-year-old man was pushed and head-butted after being verbally abused on a train from Birmingham in November.

  2. City College rated 'inadequate'published at 12:41

    Former management at Coventry's City College have been heavily criticised after it was rated "inadequate" by Ofsted for the second time in three years.

    The education watchdog said it was poor in seven out of nine areas, including management and quality of teaching.

    There are fears that housing projects, schemes for the elderly, and arts organisations will see grants cut as councillors meet to discuss saving £1.2m over the next financial year. , external

    The authority says it has no choice because the money it receives from the government has been halved over the last five years.

    Richard Hayhow, from the Open Theatre Company, says they stand to lose a third of their funding.

    Coventry's City College has been rated "inadequate" for the second time in three years after an Ofsted inspection.

    The college received an inadequate rating in seven out of nine categories, including effectiveness of leadership and management as well as the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.

    An interim report after the last Ofsted inspection in 2013 said the college had made "reasonable progress".

    The principal of the college for the last 18 months, Steve Logan, stepped-down in December.

  10. Boy airlifted to hospital after Rugby crashpublished at 09:20

    A young boy was airlifted to hospital after a crash , externalinvolving two cars and a lorry in Rugby yesterday. 

    The ambulance service said one of the cars involved had overturned, trapping the boy inside with serious injuries. 

    Five other people were also treated after the accident on Coventry Road in Church Lawford just after 14:00.
