  3. Sky Blues in 'advanced' talks to extend Armstrong loanpublished at 17:44

    The Sky Blues manager Tony Mowbray has confirmed that the club are in advanced talks to extend Adam Armstrong's loan spell from Newcastle until the end of the season.

    The 18-year-old is the City's top goalscorer this season with 16 goals and Mowbray says that the Sky Blues have fought off competition from big-spending Championship clubs to hopefully keep him for longer.  

  4. Hospital paid-for rooms 'privatisation through the back door'published at 17:29

    Private rooms at Warwick Hospital costing up to £180 a night have been criticised by NHS campaigners.

    The rooms come with Smart TV, a la carte menu and an allocated parking space.

    Stephen Cowden from the Keep our NHS Public group said "it's a form of privatisation through the back door" and threatened the free service.

    Director of Development at the Beauchamp Suite at Warwick Hospital, Jane Blacklay, said they're pulling in money "that might otherwise have gone into the private sector" and was being reinvested in NHS services.

  8. JLR expansion: New bridge proposed to link proposed sitespublished at 16:57

    Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership says it's bidding for a government grant of £40m to build infrastructure to support JLR's expansion at Whitley, including a new bridge across the A45 to link both sites.

    They say the scheme could also mean the creation of 30 acres of open woodland and countryside walks between the Lunt Fort, Baginton and the new campus.
