    A scheme offering advice to steroid users is being piloted in Leamington , externalbecause of a high demand for syringes.

    The Recovery Partnership says more than half of people accessing their needle exchanges across Coventry and Warwickshire are steroid abusers.

    Steve Bliss from the charity says the drugs aren't harmless and more needs to be done to make people understand the dangers.

    "Some people using these drugs may need a lifetime of medication or health support," he said.

    Champions Toulon had gone into the final round of games as group leaders, but Wasps leapfrogged them on points scored in their two meetings.

    Saturday's game was evenly poised at half-time, with the hosts taking a narrow 15-10 lead.

    But Wasps ran in 36 unanswered points in a superb second-half performance.

  7. Daniel Pelka's memorial 'vandalised by council'published at 11:57

    Angela Sidlow, who tends Daniel Pelka's memorial in Coventry, says she's "absolutely livid" that belongings from the memorial have been cleared away.

    "I go two or three times a week," she said, "and the memorial is always kept tidily".

    She says the first she knew of the clearance was when a sign was put up on the site on Friday. 

    "People keep asking me if the grave's been vandalised - it's been vandalised alright" she said "by the council".

  8. Daniel Pelka memorial cleared by councilpublished at 11:28

    Campaigners who tend the memorial to Daniel Pelka in Coventry say they're "heartbroken" that keepsakes, gifts and letters have been cleared from the site without any notice.

    Nicci Astin from the group Justice for Daniel Pelka organised the memorial stone at St Paul's Cemetery, Holbrooks, and says "people are angry and upset" there was no notice given by the council.

    They've taken so much away, they've only left a tiny little square. Even if the council had left a notice saying it's encroaching, can you please make it smaller, then we would have arranged for that, but just to take everything away is just horrible.

    The last of Jaguar Land Rover's classic Defenders will roll off the production line this week, ending 68 years of production - does this mean the carmaker's best off-road days are behind it?

    The Defender has evolved, but JLR said it had essentially "changed very little during its lifetime", while vehicle standards had "changed dramatically".
