  4. Man arrested over head-on collision in Stratfordpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 29 March 2016

    A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving without insurance, following a head-on road traffic collision in Stratford last night.

    The 20-year-old driver, from Germany, is being questioned.

    A woman in her 40s was treated for multiple minor injuries following the crash in Birmingham Road at about 20;30 and a man in his 60s was treated for chest pains.

    All three were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

    Fire crews spent an hour-and-a-half rescuing three people after two cars collided on the A34 between Stratford and Pathlow last night.

    A café in Coventry's Memorial Park has closed its doors after travellers moved into the main car park there.

    More than 20 caravans arrived on Saturday and disrupted a race the next day organised by a local running club.

    A jury has been sworn in for the trial of four students - one of whom is from Stratford upon Avon - who are accused of raping and assaulting a woman at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester. 

    Leo Mahon, 21, from Stratford, denies three allegations of rape and two of assault by penetration on 24 May last year. 

    The other defendants, Thady Duff and Patrick Foster, both 22, along with 20-year-old James Martin, also deny charges including rape and sexual assault.  

  10. Children aged 10 among hundreds held over alleged gun crimespublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 29 March 2016

    Children as young as 10 were among hundreds of youngsters arrested for suspected gun crimes in the past three years, new data has revealed.

    West Midlands Police said 83 boys and one girl had been charged with firearm offences since 2013, including an 11-year-old boy in 2015, a 12-year-old boy in 2013 and eight boys aged 13.

    Warwickshire police say they've arrested another man on the charge of attempted murder., external

    It's after an incident at a house in Oxford Street in the town earlier this month.

    All the men are from Rugby and aged between 20 and 30.

    The Birmingham Bears are due to announce their plans for the new cricket T20 season at Edgbaston this evening.

    The Bears lost in the semi-final of the competition last year.

    Today they're due to unveil their new kit and reveal plans for two special matches during the tournament, which begins in May.
