Experts are meeting at the University of Warwick for a conference on protecting our bees.

It follows a dramatic fall in the bee population in recent years, which is being blamed on loss of habitats, pesticides and the weather.

Police and social services chiefs have apologised to a woman for delays investigating claims she was raped and sexually abused at children's homes in Coventry.  

Co-op drivers have voted to accept proposals to settle a dispute over outsourcing jobs, the Unite union says.

It said the dispute centred on the future of the company's drivers, including some in Coventry, after plans were put forward to transfer 87 members to haulier Eddie Stobart.

- Jaguar Land Rover achieved record UK sales in March with a new car sold every two minutes

Coventry-based Jaguar Land Rover saw a huge rise in new car registrations in March.

According to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and traders, more than 5,600 Jaguars were registered last month, a 45% increase year-on-year.

Land Rover saw a 17.5% rise in registrations, while Luxury car brand Aston Martin saw a drop - they registered 186 cars last month, compared with 212 in March 2015.

A group of travellers have moved into a Nuneaton playing field after the council left a boundary fence incomplete, external.

A new image of a man missing for a month, external has been issued by Warwickshire Police.

Sakhminder Uppal, who is 42 and known as Navi, was last seen at his home address in Freshwater Grove, Leamington Spa.

He was last seen at approximately 22:00 on Sunday, 14 February when he was picked up by taxi from his home address and dropped off near to Victoria Park. He has not been heard from since, police say.

Concerns voiced by unions over the outsourcing of 87 Co-op drivers jobs in Coventry to the haulier Eddie Stobart have now been allayed.

Unite says a deal has been agreed which has given extra assurances to the Coventry workers which will provide them with confidence about their futures outside of the Co-op.

Controversial proposals to site a travellers camp on the highest spot in Leamington have been dropped by Warwick District Council. 

The authority says it's no longer looking at launching a public consultation into plans to create 15 pitches at Campion Hills and will investigate alternative options.
