The Bears lost their third One-Day Cup match of the season by 36 runs, as record-breaking Nottinghamshire piled up 415-5 at Trent Bridge on Wednesday.

And Brown is adamant his side, One-Day Cup runners up in 2014, do not need any radical re-thinking of their approach.

"We know we've tended to play a slightly conservative 50-over game - that's worked for us in the past so we don't need to go too far away from that. We want to try and keep up to date with the modern advances the game is making and show an intent that befits the competition."

Warwickshire Police has increased the availability of water safety equipment to officers after the death of a man in the River Leam in 2014.

Following emergency calls nearly 18 months ago, officers found Powell Przydalski in the Leamington water and urged him to swim to the bank. They had no access to rescue equipment.

An IPCC investigator found officers were left with few options as to how they could assist him.

At an inquest into Mr Przydalski's death, which concluded yesterday at Warwick Justice Centre, a jury returned a verdict of misadventure.

The water company says it has dealt with nearly 12,000 incidents in the region in the last year.

The main cause is people flushing things down the loo and a build-up of fat poured down kitchen sinks - which can produce so-called "fatbergs" such as the one pictured, which was the size of a bus and removed from a London sewer in 2013.
