    Gunshots have been fired at a vehicle parked in the Holbrooks area of the city.

    Police, who have launched an investigation, say they were called to Lauderdale Avenue at around 01:30 yesterday morning.

    Gunshot damage was found to a Suzuki Swift car which was parked the street. 

    Detectives say house-to-house inquiries and forensic tests are being carried out and they want to hear from any witnesses.

    An investigation into the death of a man who died after being found in the River Leam has cleared Warwickshire Police of failing to help him, external.

    The Independent Police Complaints Commision (IPCC) looked into allegations that officers failed to take meaningful action to assist Pawel Przydalski, 26, after he fell into the river at Leamington Spa on 15 November 2014.

    His body was found several days later by a police dive unit.

    The IPCC says officers were left with little option on how to help him because they didn't have access to water rescue equipment.

    Rail operator London Midland says delays should ease shortly as signalling problems north of Coventry have been repaired.

    A spokesman said the Coventry to Nuneaton line was suspended for a time, and would continue to be supplemented by a bus service.
