The three-year project to redevelop Coventry's Tollbar Island will be delivered "quite substantially" under budget, says Highways England.

Project manager, Paul Nagra, says they've done a lot of "efficiency working" and the upgrade will be delivered for less than the original £106m budget.

An underpass connecting the A45 from the west with the A46 will be open around September of this year, with the roundabout section to be completed by the end of the year.
