BBC Local LiveJonathan Wallis, head of Derby Museums Trust, says he'll be sad to see an original Joseph Wright painting leave the city.
The oil canvas has been kept in the family of Godfrey Meynell from Derbyshire for more 175 years but is being auctioned later to raise money for Syrian refugees.

He explained: "It says something about the morals of the 18th Century, and Julia being an exile. It's a fascinating story and one that deserves to be seen by and told to a wider audience."
