    A food bank in Heanor says almost 90% of the people it helped in January were former employees of Leaderflush Shapland and their families.

    The Salcare charity gave food to 161 people between 2-13 January and 144 of those were the families of former employees at the door firm, which went into administration at the start of the month.

    Severn Trent says a burst water pipe on Kedleston Road, external in Derby may be causing low pressure and discolouration of tap water in the area.

    The company says repair work will begin this afternoon, so it doesn't have to cut off the supply to a local school.

    The defence has finished in the trial of three men accused of killing two teenagers and a baby in a fire at a flat in Derbyshire.

    Peter Eyre and his sons Simon and Anthony deny starting the fire in Langley Mill in June.

    The jury heard this morning that neither of Mr Eyre's sons would be giving evidence. The trial continues.

    A 50-year-old who illegally dumped packaging and cardboard has been told to pay more than £1,700 by a court.

    Norman Gillespie, from Stapenhill, fly-tipped the commercial waste on land off John Street in Church Gresley in March.

    He admitted the offence after being tracked down by the district council and police.

    Eight pupils from Longford Church of England Primary School were unharmed after a minibus struck a bridge on Long Lane in Longford.

    A woman was taken to hospital with a head injury following the crash. Police say no other vehicles were involved.

    The road remains open following the accident, which happened at about 09:00.

    Fire and ambulance crews and the Derbyshire major incident unit are attending an accident involving a minibus on Long Lane in Longford.

    Derbyshire Police says at least one person has a head injury and the air ambulance is also at the scene.

    Burton Albion said goodbye to leading goalscorer Nasser El-Khayati, who completed a move to Championship club Queens Park Rangers, for an undisclosed fee plus add-ons and a "significant sell-on clause".
