More on the financial support for Derby cattle market businesses ... the city council says the level of compensation it has to pay out is set down in law.
The cattle market closed last month and the council intends to demolish it.

A little goes a long way as the saying goes ... businesses forced to leave Derby's cattle market are to receive a share of £250,000 in compensation.
But how many ways will that cash windfall be split?

Sue Argyle, from Derby's Stop the War campaign, said: "I don't think it's about blame, I think it's accountability. We are told this was in our name, well it was not in my name.
"The invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan was not in my name and I will not have that said."
"And if this inquiry comes out and says actually the people that were saying we're doing this in your name, for the freedom of the world, this is for a good cause ... as long as it comes out that 'no' this was not a good cause, accountability needs to be had, and 'yes' of course we need to learn lessons."
It gets worse ... I sense an abandonment coming later today. And that will surely trigger the switch of the T20 match on Sunday from Chesterfield to Derby.

Let's turn our attention to the long-awaited Chilcot inquiry into the Iraq War. Its findings will be published this morning seven years after it was set up.
Sue Argyle was part of the Stop the War Coalition in Derby which protested against the UK's involvement in the Iraq conflict, and says a million Iraqi people died during the invasion.

Derbyshire are considering switching Sunday's T20 Blast match against Yorkshire to the County Ground as the annual festival of cricket in Chesterfield threatens to be a complete washout.
The club have lost four successive day's cricket to the weather at Queen's Park. The photo was from earlier this season during a downpour ... the ice cream seller must be an eternal optimist.
