Adrian Moorhouse believes that Adam and his coach Mel Marshall ought to target a longer distance event next.
"If he wants a new challenge to keep him going, then I would go for the 200 if I was him and Mel," the 1988 Seoul gold medalist said.
"There's only so much he can do in that (100m), just keep on repeat, repeat, repeat."

Here's a little bit more from what Steve Layton has had to say about Adam Peaty's success.
"It was an absolute incredible swim. I mean he got world record in the heat.
"Then he went another fast time in the semi and then to get a world record late at night, in Brazil, a lot of people would have wondered if he could have done that.
"And he beat people by a full body's length. We're ever so proud of him."

"And it certainly raises the profile of the club and hopefully swimming in general, not only for us in Derby but across the country."

He may well now have an Olympic gold medal, but Adam Peaty's success won't change him, according to one of his friends.
Jack Stevenson said: "Nothing, nothing phases him.
"Like he'll come back from this now and he'll be just normal Adam. He'll be no different at all."
