    Police were called to the lay-by yesterday afternoon following reports that a walker had found a body. 

    When detectives arrived they found the body was badly burned, so badly burned that as yet they are unsure as to whether it is male or female.

    Police are asking for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward. 

    In particular, they are keen to hear from anyone who looked to be starting a fire.

    A man has come forward in connection with an incident where an eight-year-old boy was allegedly kicked in the face while walking his dog in Ilkeston. 

    Police originally issued an appeal after the boy claimed him and his dog were assaulted on the Gallows Inn Playing Fields by a jogger.

    JCB has left the business lobby group, the CBI, reportedly because of its anti-Brexit stance.

    A spokesman for the East Staffordshire-based company, which has a factory in Rocester, confirmed the company had ended its membership of the CBI, but did not give reasons why.

    JCB's chairman, Lord Bamford, was a prominent supporter of the Brexit campaign.
