Nottinghamshire County Council has agreed a plan to get 75% of its workforce dealing with vulnerable people vaccinated for seasonal flu.
The current take-up rate is just under 17%.
If they succeed over the next three years it will cost the authority almost £60,000.
Quote MessageVaccination is the best protection we have against flu so I would encourage everyone who is included in the at-risk categories to book a flu jab at their general practice or with another healthcare professional."

Five police forces are to share a new DNA forensic laboratory which they say will speed up detection and save money.
Forensic officers from Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire will work alongside scientists at a lab in Nottinghamshire.
Until recently forces would have to send samples of DNA material such as blood, saliva, hair or skin to labs in Oxfordshire and Lancashire.
The new lab will mean police will have DNA results within a matter of hours instead of days.

Thirteen patients have so far benefited from a new system of treating Pancreatic Cancer patents in Leicester.
Some of those diagnosed now wait just two weeks to be operated on instead of the usual six.
This system follows research carried out in Sweden that suggests pancreatic cancer patients’ five-year survival rates improve dramatically if surgery is carried out within two weeks of diagnosis.
Research claims survival rates jump from 5% to 30-40%., external
Quote MessageIn order to date these patients within two weeks of their diagnosis, we often have to utilise weekend operating lists as it would be unfair to cancel other patients’ planned cancer surgery. There are certainly some patients who are not suitable for this new pathway but by operating on patients as soon as possible from their diagnosis, we are helping to avoid additional unnecessary procedures and other problems such as weight loss."
