    A floral display that greets drivers arriving in Derby at Pentagon Island has been given a new look, external.

    The arrangement, which previously read "Proud of Derby", now says "Derby In Bloom".

    The letters have been created with Yew bushes and the city council said the remaining sections of the display would take shape over the coming months.

    A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in the Meadows in Nottingham on Sunday afternoon.

    It happened at about 14:00 in Beardsley Gardens. The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and police are continuing to investigate the attack.

    Leicestershire Police said the card was stolen from a van, which was parked in Sparkenhoe Street, Leicester, on 21 February.

    There are delays on the M1 southbound after a crash involving a lorry and a bus.

    Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say one person is being treated by paramedics and will be taken to hospital after the crash between junctions 23 and 22 at about 11:45.

    The fire service added no-one is trapped in the vehicles.

    A man has been charged with burglary and two counts of theft after allegedly stealing cash from an 84-year-old woman's house, taking a tip jar from a cafe and stealing a charity box from a garage.

    Robert Gladwin, 32, of Bramble Way, Cotgrave, is due to appear before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today.

    The charges are in relation to a burglary of a woman's house in Forest Fields on 30 March and an incident on Friday at about 17:00, when officers were called to a café in Goose Gate after a man reportedly ran in and stole a tip jar.

    Shortly afterwards, police received another call about a man stealing a charity box from a garage in Huntington Street.

    Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbing and assaulting a man, external at Nottingham's Forest Recreation Ground.

    The victim told police he was punched and kicked before having his rucksack, containing his phone and wallet, stolen yesterday evening.

    Nottinghamshire Police said the two teenagers were arrested shortly afterwards and remain in custody.

    One Twitter user called Krissie said: "I'm so sorry that you have to overhear such negativity. You do a great service to us all."

    A 43-year-old man who was hit by a silver Volkswagen Golf has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

    Police were called to the scene in Trent Bridge, Nottingham, at about 20:00 on Friday.

    Officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage of the area at that time, to get in touch.

    Images of how Beeston town centre could look after the next phase of redevelopment have been shared by Broxtowe Borough Council, external.

    A cinema, food and drink venues and 120 homes are being proposed for phase two of the Beeston Square development.

    The authority is asking for feedback on the plans for the two-acre site, which is currently being used as a car park.

    It said it was aiming to encourage more people to spend time in Nottingham's biggest suburb.
