Cinders, a horse who had pioneering surgery earlier this month using fish skin, has undergone her third round of surgery.
The animal was found dumped in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, after being badly burnt in a suspected acid attack and has been having the surgery at the Rainbow Equine Hospital in North Yorkshire.
Vet David Rendle from the equine hospital, said: "Within 30 minutes of the end of surgery Cinders lifted her head, looked around and simply stood up, unflustered. Another 30 minutes later she was back in her stable enjoying her lunch."
More than £14,000 was raised in donations for Cinders to have the surgery which was dubbed as "a world first" using a dressing made from the skin of a tilapia fish to aid the growth of fresh tissue.

Hundreds of people have been arrested by a Leicestershire Police team investigating online paedophiles in the past year.
It’s part of a specialist "digital hub" that’s transforming police inquiries by analysing computers, phones, and even sat-navs in order to track down those involved in online abuse.
There are about 50 digital investigators and I saw them dismantling phones and computers, even one of those voice-activated "Alexa" devices you might have in your home.
Det Ch Insp Shaun Orton, who is in charge of the digital hub, said in a year they had examined 4,000 phones.
He said: "These days a lot of the evidence is computers, hard drives, phones and data that's stored on the cloud so we have to find a way of gathering that, identifying it and breaking any encryption and passwords that might be associated with it."
Another section in the hub that's screened off is where officers trawl through images and videos that are sometimes so horrific they need psychological help.
A lot of their work is making a real difference but the real challenge is coping with the sheer volume of evidence they're finding.

Police said the victim, who is being treated in hospital, also suffered bruising to her face but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Det Sgt Laura Kershaw said: “The victim has been unable to give us a description of the person or persons responsible for this robbery – that is why we need your help to find who did this."
