    Police are investigating two shop burglaries in Eastwood over the last few days.

    A group broke into the Boots store in Nottingham Road at about 20:55 on Sunday before stealing a quantity of cash.

    At about 02:25 yesterday suspects broke into the Mark Jarvis bookmakers in Nottingham Road.

    Once inside they attacked gaming machines, tills and cabinets before stealing a quantity of cash from the till.

    Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage.

    A hotel in Nottingham that was closed temporarily over concerns about crimes being committed there will remain shut until the end of the year.

    Stage Hotel on Gregory Boulevard

    A three month order relating to the Stage Hotel on Gregory Boulevard was granted in June following reports of anti-social and criminal behaviour - including child sexual exploitation and drug offences.

    Nottingham City Council's now had the closure order extended until 29 December.

    Rotherham Road in Killamarsh has been reopened, while police continue to investigate an alleged gunshot in the area.

    Police were called to a disturbance in the area at 18:45 on Saturday.

    One man has been arrested in in relation to the incident.
