    There has been an outbreak of coronavirus at HMP Stocken in Rutland, the prison has confirmed.

    The category C men's prison, which has more than 950 inmates, said it had found positive cases on four of its seven wings.

    "Our priority now is to contain the virus on infected wings, protect our shielders, vaccinate and to prevent an outbreak in the rest of the prison," it tweeted, external.

    The prison said staff had "worked tirelessly" to keep the facility infection free for 11 months, but the new variant had "created significant challenges".

    It added: "We appreciate this is a worrying time for families.

    "We have a plan and will continue to keep everyone updated on our social media feed."

    A suspect from Rugby has been arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering after a man was conned out of almost £10,000.

    Warwickshire Police said the victim, a man in his 60s from Nottinghamshire, had responded to a text proclaiming to be from HSBC containing a link leading him to a site where he was told he needed to transfer funds to another account.

    He went on to transfer £9,350 into an account set up by a scammer, police said, after being told his account was in danger.

    The suspect has since been released under investigation, police said.

    Northern parts of Derbyshire have already seen snow overnight and a Met Office amber warning, external for further winter shows remains in place until 13:00.

    But it doesn't end there - Derbyshire also has a yellow warning for rain on the way, from 18:00 to 04:00 tomorrow.

    The Met Office said heavy showers combined with melting snow could lead to flooding.

    Several roads have been closed in north Derbyshire, external following snow and freezing rain overnight.

    The county council said the roads currently affected are:

    • A57 Snake Pass
    • A54/A537 Cat and Fiddle
    • A6024 Holme Moss
    • A628 Woodhead Pass

    The authority said all primary and secondary routes had been gritted and conditions were expected to improve through the morning.

    Four schools have also closed: Edale Church of England Primary School, Hope Primary School, Cutthorpe Primary School and St Giles Church of England Primary School in Killamarsh.

    Further sleet and snow are expected this morning but most parts will just see rain and strong winds.

    A man is wanted by police after he exposed himself to two female runners in Derbyshire.

    Police said the man stepped out from behind a wall near the Gosforth Drive/Pentland Road area of Dronfield Woodhouse at about 20:00 on 12 January.

    It is believed the incident might be linked to several others also reported in January.

    Derbyshire Police said the man was described as being in his mid-30s, of stocky build, with brown, wavy hair and wearing Harry Potter-style glasses.

    Officers said they wanted to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience and not yet reported it.

    Some clinically extremely vulnerable children have mistakenly been sent letters inviting them to receive a coronavirus vaccination.

    The processing error was made by Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

    Currently no-one under 16 is being advised to have a Covid vaccine.

    Earlier today, the CCG apologised after adults classed as clinically vulnerable were sent letters inviting them to book their vaccine with an incorrect link. It is thought to have affected about 18,000 people.

    This appears to have been the result of the same processing error.
