A fire at a recycling centre in Loughborough has now been extinguished.
The blaze at the Jayplas factory on Cotton Way started just after 12:15. At its height there were 13 fire fighting appliances at the scene and people were being advised to avoid the area because of "large amounts of smoke".
The fire is thought to have started in the conveyor belt system and then spread to recycling items. An investigation is now under way into the cause.

New technology is to be used in Nottingham to track down rogue landlords who aren't keeping properties in a decent condition.
Tenants living in poor conditions can often be linked to wider criminal activity like slavery, trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The new technology will draw on data from different council departments, as well as the police and the fire service.
The authority has received money from the government to fund the project. It's hoped this will bring about swifter and tougher enforcement action and ultimately raise living standards.

A former gravel pit near Long Eaton could become a giant water park.
Plans put forward would see the former Trent Meadow gravel pit, off Pasture Lane, turned into the Spring Lakes Watersports Club.
The 133-acre park would include wakeboarding, ramps, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, rowing boats, pedalos, scuba diving, raft building, swimming and inflatables. It has been tipped for approval by planning officers at Erewash Borough Council.
A decision will be made by the authority's planning committee on Wednesday 23 January. The applicants state that 12 new full-time jobs will be created.
More than a dozen objection letters have been received by the council. They raise fears over congestion, noise, air quality, anti-social behaviour and the impact on wildlife - particularly fish and birds.
The British Water Ski and Wakeboard club commented that the "proposed facility will be world class standard, a great asset to grassroots and elite channels of this sport as well as the surrounding community".

Quote MessageI’ll monitor how he trains over the next two days and decide after that. He won’t be able to play loads but if we think he’s ready to be in the squad he will be. Even if he is only available for 20 minutes."
