Glen Roe was told by a judge at Nottingham Crown Court he should expect a lengthy prison sentence.
Read MoreIt was a frosty start this morning but that didn't stop you snapping some great pictures of the sunrise, in some places lighting the sky up purple.
This was taken at Chesterfield at around 7:40 where temperatures were -1C.
The sky was a similar colour a little bit down the road on the Cromford Canal near Matlock, Derbyshire.
Meanwhile the frost made this Dronfield park look a little bit more magical - although at -2C we can see why there wasn't anyone playing on it...

A 45-year-old smashed his way in to a woman's home and raped her at gunpoint while threatening to kill both her and himself, a court heard.
Glen Roe, 45, of no fixed address, has been told he faces a lengthy jail sentence after the "absolutely terrifying" assault in August last year, police said.
Roe entered through a ground floor window and pointed a handgun at the woman's head, officers said.
He then told her he was planning to kill her and himself after the attack. Police later discovered it was fake but she did not know this at the time.
He later said he would not kill her but intended to have a shootout with the police but in the end he left without shooting the weapon.
After denying the attack, on Friday he was found guilty at Nottingham Crown Court of two offences of rape, a sexual assault, making threats to kill, and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear. He will be sentenced on 11 March.

A Leicester MP has called on the government to do more to tackle knife crime.
Liz Kendall, Labour, said there had been a steep rise in the number of people being stabbed and injured in Leicestershire.
In the House of Commons yesterday, she said: "Knife offences in Leicestershire have risen by 63% since 2010 yet Leicestershire received no funding from the Early Intervention Youth Fund - neither did the two other largest forces in the East Midlands; Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire."
She said £5m from the fund still hasn't been allocated and called for some of it to come for the region.

Council and business leaders have been discussing what should be done with Nottinghamshire's remaining coal-fired power stations.
All coal-fired stations are due to shut by the end of 2025.
There are seven left in the UK - and three of them are in Nottinghamshire: Ratcliffe-on-Soar in Rushcliffe and Cottam and West Burton, both near Retford. How much longer they will stand is now uncertain, reports the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
But some residents living near Ratcliffe-on-Soar have told the BBC that despite how much it dominates the skyline they've grown used to it and it's a local landmark that lets them know they're nearly home.
Politicians and industry leaders are due to meet to discuss the sites' future with some suggesting they should be converted to housing while others would prefer to see employment. But there have been concerns about delays to redevelop other decommissioned power stations.
Councillor Simon Robinson, Conservative leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council, said: "On the failure to develop the previous sites, it is absolutely scandalous, all the pressure on for houses and development, and yet we've got power station sites lying empty for years."

More than half of 16 to 25-year-olds in Nottingham think social media creates an "overwhelming pressure" on young people.
That's one of the findings in a new report published by the Prince's Trust, which focuses on social media.
Researchers also found that 43% of young people in the city, say comparing their life with others on social media makes them feel inadequate.

Dozens of care homes in the East Midlands have been using a new system to improve safety for residents.
The prevalence of common care issues such as bed sores and falls are routinely monitored to spot problems earlier, and improve staff training.
At Alexandra Lodge in Nottingham, they've turned things around from inspectors rating the home as 'requiring improvement' to being classed as good.
They looked at data using a system called LPZ developed by a Dutch university and realised, for example, patients are falling in the morning when the night staff are busy so they needed to change shift patterns to address this.
Karen McEwan of the Patient Safety Collaborative said: "We've seen massive improvements in basic things that carers would face."
