    A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in Charles Street in Leicester city centre yesterday evening.

    Police were called at 17:50 to Humberstone Gate where they found a 19-year-old man with a stab wound.

    The man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment.

    A cordon was put in place in Humberstone Gate and Charles Street.

    Leicester City's players have arrived in Thailand for the cremation of former chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

    Khun Vichai died on 27 October when the helicopter he was travelling in crashed outside the King Power Stadium.
