    A student who suffered a head injury on a night out has been describing her struggle to continue studying while suffering the after effects.

    Lottie Butler, from Kirkby-in-Ashfield, is leading a campaign to highlight fatigue in people who have had brain injuries.

    The 18-year-old, who was injured in Loughborough, said for the first six months after her injury she slept through most of the day. "Nothing was normal to me anymore," she said.

    She's now found a way to get through the rest of her studies at college in Nottingham and hopes to go on to university. She said: "Make yourself a schedule and goals to achieve for the day and prioritise everything.

    "Then, even if the smallest things don't get done, at least you've made something of your day."

    She's now working with the brain charity Headway, external as part of their "Brain Drain: Wake up to fatigue" campaign. This is her video diary showing how fatigue affects her everyday life.

    The Rams sold out their allocation of more than 36,000 tickets for Wembley at the weekend, within hours of going on general sale.

    They're up against Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final a week today.

    Some tickets have surfaced on the internet for more than £900.

    Stephen Hillier is a Derby County fan who hasn't managed to get a ticket but he's still planning to travel to London for the atmosphere.

    He told the BBC: "It's so frustrating. I've heard of fans, who are not Derby fans, who have got tickets. They shouldn't really be in the Derby end.

    "I'd love to be going and watching them live but I'll just sit in a pub and enjoy it there."

    Staff at Nottingham College are planning protests this lunchtime over proposed changes to pay and working conditions.

    Members of the University and College Union have been renegotiating terms, following the merger of New College and Central College in 2017.

    In a statement, managers have said the review aims to ensure fair pay, and they will do all they can to ensure students are not affected.

    Passengers using the Midland Mainline are being warned to expect major disruption next week.

    From next Tuesday, no services will be stopping at Market Harborough station for six days as work is carried out to straighten the line and install a new footbridge.

    There will also be fewer trains between the East Midlands and London and services that do run will take longer.

    When work on the line is completed, it will allow trains to travel at greater speeds. A replacement bus service will run in the meantime.

    Since 2015 more than 11,000 fines have been issued to parents and carers in Nottinghamshire for taking their children out of school without permission.

    The majority of cases involved children being on holiday during term time.

    There has been a sharp rise recently in both the number of schools issuing fines and the total number of penalty notices issued in Nottinghamshire, reflecting a similar trend nationally.

    Most of the penalty notices were paid but about 8% weren't and led to court action. The maximum possible sentence is three months in prison, or a £2,500 fine.

    A report considered by councillors yesterday, external doesn't list the punishments handed out by the courts.

    The council describes the fines as "proportionate" with the overall number of absences steadily falling.

    Nottinghamshire's County Championship game against Hampshire is finely balanced after day one.

    Hampshire will resume on 288 for 6 this morning. It's the first Championship match on the Isle of Wight since 1962.

    After play yesterday Notts head coach Peter Moores told the BBC: "You always want more wickets but the thing I was most impressed with today was the way we went about things.

    "We really stuck to the task and we needed to because Hampshire played good cricket. I thought we put a lot of balls in the right area.”

    Police are warning Derby County fans about buying tickets for the play-off final from a ticket tout.

    Officers told one person selling a pair of tickets for £400 on Twitter that they were one of "many" profiles being investigated.
