A police officer received minor injuries after being clipped by a car when responding to an attempted burglary.
Leicestershire Police said they received a report of two men attacking a shutter at a shop on High Street in Husbands Bosworth at about 01:00 on Friday.
A force spokesman said a car matching the description given by witnesses of the car the suspects fled in was found near Bell Lane, with one man wielding a crossbar getting out of the vehicle.
While the officer was attempting to stop the man the car was reportedly driven at her, clipping her as it went.
A 37-year-old man from Wigston was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm, and is being questioned by police.
Leicestershire Police said inquiries are ongoing and asked for anyone with any information to get in touch.

A woman has been fined £300 after her rubbish was dumped near a wildlife hospital by an unlicensed waste carrier.
She had paid a man to take away her rubbish in his van but it was found illegally dumped in Kibworth, Leicestershire on 16 January.
The household renovation waste was left on Fleckney Road, just yards from the Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital and Kibworth Town Football Club.
An environmental crime team at Harborough District Council traced it back to a household in Leicester.
The woman admitted she didn't check the to see if the van driver had a valid waste carrier’s licence and was fined.
Councillor Jonathan Bateman said: “The person who dumped this waste should be ashamed of themselves.
"This is another positive outcome for the team and should serve as a reminder to residents to ensure they never use unlicensed waste carriers to dispose of their rubbish.”
Liam Gray was stabbed by Jonathan Treadgold as Mr Gray's grandfather watched, a court hears.

An investigation is under way after a 63-year-old woman died in a house fire.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Birkland Drive, Edwinstowe, at about 15:00 on Wednesday.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said it is looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident
Inspector Heather Sutton said: “I understand that hearing about an unexplained death can be concerning for residents.
"We are still working to establish the circumstances around the death and we will need to wait for the results of the post-mortem examination, which can take time."
The items - including bass pedals - were spotted by a music producer following a social media appeal.
